April Yoga Update
Hi, yogis,
I’m happy to be writing to the big list again. I hope you’re all keeping well.
I have been rejoicing in the nice low COVID-19 numbers. The (known) active case count in less than 200 for the whole 470,000 person county right now. So we’ve been eating inside at restaurants, visiting friends, and other joyful things like shopping.
In that vein, masks won’t be required for April classes. You can still choose to wear one, naturally! When the BA.2 surge happens in May, we’ll see how the numbers go. But for this month, we should be good. Vaccinations still and always required.
I’m still teaching only twice a week and only at Balanced You, 6712 Kingston Pike. I expect it will be that way for the long-term future. My days of teaching 4-5 times a week are gone until my ‘day job’ situation eases up (which, with luck, will not be for a very long time indeed).
The 5:30pm Tuesday Gentle Yoga class is limited to 8 folks.
The 6pm Thursday Mindful Yoga class is limited to 6 folks, because we wave our arms around a lot more in that class. ;) If you enjoyed my Glowing Body or Breezeway classes, this is the one you want, though of course, I recommend both!
I’m still asking you to make reservations at my website, stillgarden.com, so that:
(1) I can get in touch with you in case I need to cancel.
(2) We don’t accidentally overflow
(3) I don’t show up to an empty class.
I really enjoy not having to get last-minute subs, the way I’d have to do at a studio on a different system. Mostly, I’d just teach class anyway, migraine and all. It’s also nice not to have to fill the inboxes of 200 people to cancel a class. So thank you for embracing the system.
Blossoming dogwood trees are so pretty. I love our backyard.
Thank you all for being part of this community.
