Zoom Class Test
Hi, everyone. Long time no see. First the news, then I’ll ramble a bit.
I’m going to do a test of Zooming with y’all tonight (Sunday) at 6pm (Eastern). I can’t promise that we’ll do yoga, but we might. And it’s a good chance to install the software and get familiar with it before we do an actual class. But realistically, any time I teach, I’ll try to start the meeting 15 minutes early so that people have a chance to get oriented if they’re unfamiliar.
Here’s the link for tonight’s test class.

No charge, of course, since it’s just an experiment. I appreciate your help with optimizing the experience.
I’m hoping that you’ll turn your cameras on so that I can see you while we practice, just like you can see me. That way, I can give the usual advice on alignment, safety, etc.
As long as this goes well, I suspect that the first thing I’ll start teaching online is my Wednesday night gentle yoga class.
On to the rambling. . .
Well. It’s certainly be an interesting time self-isolating, hasn’t it? We’re all stressed from the experience, I know, even if we’re the type of people (like me!) who don’t go out a lot. Most of my time outside-the-house was teaching yoga! But we’ve got the added stresses of reduced income, home schooling, grocery-shopping contamination worries, inability to shop for clothes, etc. For me personally, the biggest stressor is that my dad’s not been well for the last month; my mom and we haven’t been able to visit him in the various facilities due to the necessary precautions; it’s much more difficult to get answers from doctors who you can’t see them face-to-face.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t depressed. That has impacted my energy levels, and so I’ve been slow to get this project started. Now it’s time, and I hope you’ll join me. We can commiserate, we can breathe, we can practice together.
namaste,
judson
